When walking the Vermont Inn to Inn route from Coumbs Family Inn, Ludlow VT. to The Apple Knoll Inn, Weston VT. you will enjoy the charm of an historical village of Weston, the Vermont Country Store, and The Bryant House Restaurant. This is a "don't miss experience" of Vermont travels says Penny & Dan; owners of Inn Victoria in Chester.
Penny and Dan were visiting the Bryant House Restaurant for lunch earlier this week for a quiet getaway and were spotted in a quiet corner of the restaurant. The two were enjoying luscious meals in a unique old roadhouse in the center of Weston, VT. Owned and managed by the Vermont Country Store,
the Bryant House is one of the finest restaurants in all of Okemo
Valley. In fact, says Dan; "the Bryant House Restaurant is on Inn
Victoria's list of "preferred dining experiences" in the Okemo Region.
Penny had a
Grafton Cheddar macaroni and cheese dish with cracker crumbs, a slice of
Vermont country ham and coleslaw. Dan enjoyed Mildred's famous clam
chowder, salad and hot cider.
The antique soda
fountain and cash register are still in working condition. The floors
are of original hand hewn wood. The wall paneling is of solid wood.
The paintings on the walls are local artists' creations. This is truly a
remarkable dining experience of Vermont fare. Penny always says to Inn
Victoria guests; "you've not truly experienced Vermont unless you've
experienced the Vermont Country Store's original location in Weston VT. and of course, The Bryant House Restaurant"
